How old am I??

So, hubby and I went to a town called Ann Arbor this past Saturday to see a movie called Paranormal Activity. It was only released in 13 theaters in the entire United States and Ann Arbor was one of them! We love movies and will travel far and wait a while to see them if they get good reviews. This was said to be one of the scariest movies of all time. We had to wait in a line for two hours because the entire world wanted to see it. Good thing we got there early and was told there would be a line forming. When we got into the theater, they were handing out puke buckets because of how scary and how the film is shot. It is shot like the movie "The Blair Witch Project". So right then, I knew I was in for it.

Let me just tell you, it was the scariest movie I have ever seen in my entire life! My husband isn't scared of scary movies and he was freaked out after it was over. I couldn't get over how people were responding to this movie. Grown men hiding behind their jackets. People screaming all over the place. It was unreal! Nothing I have ever seen before. When we got out of the theater, hubby and I were watching all around us since it was a midnight showing and by the time we got out it was almost two in the morning. We were practically running to our car. Looking behind us every few steps. The entire ride home was silent. A few sighs here and there because we were so glad it was finally over. Hubby finally said, he was freaked out. I won't lie. I was too!

So, needless to say, the last two nights have been really horrible. I wake up a few times to use the restroom and I have been forcing myself to hold it because I am scared to get out of bed. Last night, the thunder and lightening woke me up and I couldn't go back to sleep. I started to get tightening in my chest because I kept seeing parts of the film in my mind. I woke hubby up and started crying. He held me tight for a few minutes before he fell back to sleep and started snoring. I hope tonight gets better. I can't go through this every night. *UGH*!

So, if you click on the actual name of the movie above, I have linked it to their main web page. There you can watch the trailer if you dare. There is a part where you can demand to get it to show in your area. If you are a horror fan, this is the best movie of all times!!! It will leave an imprint on your mind. No doubt. Check it out! The entire movie is based on one couple in their home. All of the craziness is in their bedroom. *Creepy*

------------------------------------------------------------

On a funner note, Hubby and my mom felt the babies move for the first time this weekend! After the movie, they were kicking all over the place. I don't think they liked their mommy jumping all over the place. Thank goodness I didn't go into labor. LOL

So, now they are moving pretty much all day. It is an amazing feeling. Last night, Peanut rolled and I actually let out a scream because it was the craziest thing I have ever felt! Too funny!

So anyway, belly picture will be up hopefully tomorrow. I've had a long weekend!

Odds and ends.......And a bit of funny...

I am so sorry I stink at taking belly pictures. I'll blame it on my exhaustion. I will take one this weekend for 21 weeks. I have to!!! I am going to make a book of my journey. I need to get better at taking pictures. There are so many things that I wanted to do, like take maternity photos, do a belly cast, paint my belly (I still have time for that. it's for Halloween) and many other things. For some reason, I feel like time is running out. I feel like bed rest is right around the corner. I don't want to be put on bed rest but it may happen. There's nothing I can do if it does. We also need money to be able to do those things. I have been stressing out BIG TIME because we don't have extra money lying around. How are we supposed to care for two infants if we don't have extra money??? Oh man, we are in for it! Anyway, enough pity party, we'll manage.

I am starting to feel more movement now. It still isn't anything to get too excited about. Hubby still can't feel it. One of my girls said they did but I think she was just feeling her own pulse. LOL Last night was the first time I have ever felt intense movement. It was in the middle of the night and I had to get up to use the restroom. I was really thirsty and all I had at my bedside was a sprite. (I know, healthy!) So I took a few swigs and headed for the bathroom. After I finished doing my business, I laid back down and started to doze off. All of a sudden, both girls were kicking, punching, rolling, fighting. Whatever they do in there, they were going at it. I have never felt it that intense before. And from both of them at the same time!! It was so amazing. So, I think the big movements are right around the corner. Unless they move the most at night and I just miss it because I am asleep. Too cool!

We still don't have anything for the girls. I have two blankets from my dear friend Tammy and I just received two beautiful hats from Veronica. You need to go check out her blog. These are the cutest hats ever!!! I'll post a picture of them when I post my belly pic. They are adorable. I did buy the Detroit Tigers onsies for the girls before I knew they were girls. And I do have some hand me downs from my friend Sarah. I want to start buying sleepers and gowns for them but money is tight so that will have to wait. We'll get to it though. I just hope I get a lot of that stuff at my shower.

Speaking of my shower, that is 7 weeks away and I have a mother who is extremely busy. We were supposed to work on the invitations this weekend. I really hope she has the time because they have to go out next weekend. I found a great deal at Michael's. 100 invitations for $15.99. We are going to print them at my moms house and put ribbons on the top of them. Very simple. Just the way I like it. I will post a picture of them when I am finished so you can see. I know I'm not supposed to do my own stuff for my shower but the time spent with my mom is far and few in between so whatever I can do to have time with her, if it means helping with my invitations, I will do it! Plus I love doing arts and crafts anyway so I don't mind. I am also going to make the diaper cakes for the centerpieces. Little miniature ones for each table. I am so excited to do them. I think my girls are going to help me too. I like things to be a certain way and if I don't do it myself, someone will take over and it will become a 1980's fun bash!!! LOL So seven weeks to go until our shower! I am so excited!!

So, I leave the funniest thing for last. My hubby picked up his girls on Tuesday from their moms house. When they get into the car and start their voyage, they play a guessing game. It goes a little something like this...

The girls will start by saying, "Is it alive or not alive?"
Daddy will say, "It's alive!"
The girls will say, "Is it an animal or a human?"

And then they get rolling......someone guesses it and then it is the next persons chance to play.

So, the girls start out by saying, "Is it alive or not alive?"
Daddy says, "It starts out alive but then it is not alive."
The girls say, "Is it an animal?"
Daddy says, "No, it is not an animal but another hint would be, it is more popular when it is not alive."
K then says, "Dad, I know what it is!!!"
Daddy says, "What honey?"
K says, "Michael Jackson!!!"

Oh man, if I could of been there.... too funny!!! The real answer was, a pumpkin. LOL LOL

Kids say the darnedest things!!! LOL

Online Baby Shower!!!!

Copy and paste

We’re having an on-line baby shower for Megan!

To give a short history, after both she and her husband struggled with infertility, Megan used donor embryos and is now pregnant with her son! After 10 years of going to many baby showers herself, she was so excited to have her own baby shower. Unfortunately, her mother-in-law doesn’t like Megan for some reason and so she boycotted the shower along with most of her husband’s side of the family. Out of 36 people invited, only 8 people came. On top of that, she also learned that the reason one of her good friends didn’t make it to the shower was because she had been killed in a car accident 9 months ago.Poor Megan. I can’t imagine the pain she is going through. So, let’s have a baby shower for her! Let’s help her realize just how much she is loved here in blogland! Even just a small gift will make her day!

If you would like to join us in making this a special shower for her, please e-mail me at tammywondra@yahoo.com. I will give you her address and where she is registered. Please identify yourself clearly. If I have any doubt, I will ask Megan if she is okay with me giving out her address and information. It’s nothing personal. I just want to be extremely cautious about giving out personal information and I’m sure everyone can understand that.Thank you so much for helping make Megan feel special!!If anyone would like to post this on their blog, please do!! The more the merrier!!

I am registered......

Holy cow!!! Can I just say, five hours at Babies R Us is exhausting!!! My feet were swollen, I was nauseated and my stomach was tight!!!! I won't be doing that again! Even though it was fun to register for my little punkin and peanut. I'm glad it's over. Now it's time to start the invitations. I can't believe my baby shower is eight weeks away! It will be here before we know it. Shoot, the babies will be here before we know it! I can't believe how fast this has gone. I'm twenty weeks already!!!!

So, I will update with a new belly pic and some stats for week 20. My plan is to do it tomorrow. I am just too tired to do it tonight. It's time for bed.... Good night all!!

Praise be to God!!!!!

She is ok girls!!!!! No more markers!! They didn't see anything on her heart or her bowel anymore!! And my integrated testing came back normal!!!

We got to the hospital at 8:30 a.m. and was in the ultrasound room for over an hour. Baby A was being a stinker. They had me walking the halls because she wouldn't cooperate. Finally they were able to get the heart and the bowel. The tech said she has to go and speak with the doctor and right at that moment, my heart sank. I thought for sure she saw something. I cried and it felt like she was gone forever. Hubby kept telling me to keep the faith. She finally came back in and said everything looked great on both babies and they didn't see anything to be worried about. I lost it. I kept thanking her and said thank you God! It was the best moment during this entire pregnancy.

I celebrated by going to my mom's salon and getting my hair highlighted and getting my toenails painted. I have a pedicure scheduled in two weeks. She didn't have enough time to do one tonight. No big deal though. I'll have one in two weeks.

So the girls look great and are growing so fast. They are both 11 ounces now. Measuring right on track! Starting to feel lots of movement now. I can't wait until hubby and the girls can feel it too. It shouldn't be long now.

Oh, and as for names. We still don't have anything yet. This has been really hard because hubby and I are having a hard time agreeing on anything. Plus we change our minds so much. We may not name them until we see their little faces. I'm in no rush. I guess I'll have to come up with nicknames. Let's see, how about baby A can be named punkin and baby B will be peanut. I like that. I'll call them that from now on.

So there you have it! I am two days away from the 20 week mark and I couldn't be happier right now. The OB now has me coming in every two weeks so that makes me feel so much better. My cervix is still going strong. Praise you Lord! Let's see if it can hang on now for another 17 weeks!

I hope everyone had a wonderful day! I sure did!

My attempt at a 19 week belly pic.....

I want to start off by saying thank you to the ladies who posted. It was amazing to see how many were followers that I have never met before. It is such a pleasure to meet all of you! Thank you again for following my journey. It means so much to me. I pray for all of you that are going through your journey. Please remember, God is so good!!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------

So, hubby attempted to take my 19 week belly pic today and it turned out to be a comical event. As most of you know, I have a boxer named Carmella. She is such a stinker. Every time I went to pose for the picture, she would try to attack me. I have no clue what her deal was but I couldn't stop laughing. Here is our attempt at trying to get one picture. Don't any of you say I don't love you cause I went through a lot to get this picture. Put it this way, I had to lock her in the bathroom and book it to the bedroom to take the picture and try to get her out in time before she demolished a whole roll of toilet paper. Anyone want a female boxer???? LOL
In the first picture, you can see her fat head in front of the camera. She would lay right in front of hubby and watch me in front of the window.

I almost pee'd myself from laughing. She cracks me up! I don't get why she is such a nut. But I love it! The final picture is in the slide show.
Love,
Kami

Today I pray......

For all of my beautiful blogger friends.

For the ladies who are still trying for their miracle. I pray for your strength and peace in your hearts. Not only that, but love in your home during this difficult time. It does get really tough on a marriage **EDIT** (Relationships in general) while going through infertility. Focus on each other and lean on one another for support. This will help you through. God has special plans for all of you. You may not understand them now, but the perfect time will come and it will all make sense. You are all in my hearts and in my mind every single day. Not a day goes by that I don't check up on you to see how you all are doing. Please, don't ever give up on your dreams and keep the faith! Stay positive and stay strong. Take control of your body and of whatever process you are going through to achieve your goal. A precious baby. God loves you more than you know and so do I. Together, you can get through this. One step at a time.

With love,
Kami

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27

On my knees today......

Giving thanks to the Lord for blessing me. I started to make dinner. Of course I had to throw on the old ipod and listen to some tunes while I prepare our meal. I sing at church on Sunday so I practiced that song for a bit. Then I popped in a tune that I listen to through thick and thin. I have listened to this song during all of my failed IUI's and even my failed IVF. I remember laying on the bed in the RE's office during my very first IUI. I listened to this song and cried my eyes out. The song is by Natalie Grant. It's called "Better Hands Now." Watch this video, you will understand why it is so touching to me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7eBnpVuIzI

I fell on my knees tonight in my kitchen and thanked the Lord for blessing me. Even though I made many mistakes in my life, He never turned His back on me and I AM in better hands now.

Week 18: Sweet Potato

Your fetus has become amazingly mobile (at least compared to you), passing the hours yawning, hiccuping, rolling, twisting, kicking, punching, sucking and swallowing. And, baby's finally big enough that you'll be able to feel those movements soon.

Dear Carmella.......

Do you feel it's necessary to play games with me after I have worked all day? Why do you feel the need to stand in the bedroom doorway staring at me and not budging when I am begging you to come into the bedroom? Not only does it make me upset but I had a very hot bowl of corn in my hand and I was starving! And nauseous!

Why is it, when I put the hot bowl of yummy corn down, you take off running? Causing me to come after you. Knowing I will not catch you because you are faster than me. Did you not realize I was in my underwear running in front of the big window so our neighbors could see my gigantic butt? Or the color of my face as it was turning all sorts of shades of red? By that time, my hot corn is turning into luke warm corn and I am starting to get a headache because I am so hungry. Just come to me when I ask. Is it that hard?

I tried grabbing your food bowl, I tried turning the faucet on because I know you love your water and usually you will come running. I even tried to grab your leash and go to the front door in my underwear just to trick you. Why are you so smart?? WHY??

Finally, after getting on my knees at the front door and pretending to put the leash on your brother Zander, you decide to grace me with your presence. You stinker! I have other words for you but I'll be nice since I slept on it.

For you information, Carmella, I do not like to play catch the stinky dog after working over eight hours and being extremely exhausted. I do not like running in my underwear all over the condo so the entire world can see the crazy pregnant woman trying not to lose it in her underwear. I do not like yelling at you when I have two precious little babies in my belly and I do not like eating cold corn, thankyouverymuch!!!

Man, do I wish I had a nice big back yard. *Sigh*

At peace........

Thanks again girls. I love you guys so much!!!

So last night I was laying in bed and all of a sudden, something told me to go look in the kitchen. I remember getting a copy of my medical records from my new OB. It was funny because when I got them, I told DH I didn't need them and threw them in a pile in the kitchen. So last night I ran into the kitchen to check my medical records and right there in front of my face were my labs. There were three words. Cystic Fibrosis and NEGATIVE. I have already been tested for it. I then looked at DH's and it said PENDING. So, I just put in a call to my RE to make sure his was negative too. But from researching, it looks like both parents have to have the gene to pass it on to a fetus. So I feel so much better knowing that the chance of baby A having CF is slim. Thank you Lord!!!

I am starting to think that maybe my little stinker swallowed some blood or something. Also, when we went into the ultrasound yesterday, the tech asked why we were there. I told her because the doctor said she wanted me to have an ultrasound every 4 weeks because it's twins. She then said that they usually do this type of ultrasound at 20 weeks. So maybe, just maybe, because I am only 17 weeks, they spotted something that wouldn't of been there if I waited until 20 weeks.

The girls were so funny. We told them the news that we are having girls and they were so excited!!! They were hugging me and it was the sweetest thing. They love to rub my belly and talk to the babies now. I can't wait until they can feel them kick. They are going to flip!

We'll see! Anyway, I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Talk to you soon!

We're having.........

Baby A is.........

A GIRL!!!!!!!

Baby B is...........

A GIRL TOO!!!!!

-----------------------------------------------------

We did get some not so good news. Baby A has two "soft" findings. Something in her heart and her bowel. I have to go to the hospital in two weeks to get a second opinion. My OB said it could be down's syndrome, cystic fibrosis or nothing at all. I'm praying for nothing at all. I would be lying if I said I was ok. I've cried a few times today. I don't want my baby girl to suffer.

I believe God is with me and will take care of this. I hand this to you Lord. Please take it from me and be with my sweet baby girl. Lord, please give me strength to get through the next two weeks. I am a wreck. Lay your hands upon me Lord and give me peace. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Please keep my baby girl in your prayers. We need as many as we can get right now. Thank you all. Love you!
