Thank you and reproductive update

I just wanted to take  moment to thank you all for your support over the years.  You mean the world to me and I appreciate you all more than you will ever know.  You have been there through the ups and the downs.  Through laughter and tears.  Through EVERYTHING!  I am so glad to see that there are a few who continue to read my posts.  Sad to see a lot have left me but honestly, I don't blame them since I don't post anything remotely interesting.  LOL  I just wanted to make sure you all knew how special you are to me.

So, I went to the doctor on Thursday.  I have stated numerous times that I want to have another baby.  I work for a Reproductive Endocrinologist now and the technology is at my fingertips.  Not to mention I would get an amazing discount.  Maybe even free IVF.  So I brought this up to the old man and he said, "NO!"  He is so done having kids.  He has four.  He is 45 years old.  I should totally respect that, right?  Well, yes of course I should and I do but there is a part of me that is angry that I have someone in my way of having another child.  Don't get me wrong.  I knew what I was marrying into.  I knew that I was marrying an older man who already had children.  I just didn't think of the long term effect of doing so.

Now, in saying that.  I am extremely blessed to have the two that I do have.  I could be left with none at all.  I could still be empty handed and crying every night over not being able to get pregnant.  I could be shooting myself up with those evil hormones.  I could be staring at yet another negative pregnancy test and feeling that awful heaviness that comes along with it.  But I'm not.  Instead I have two beautiful 2 year olds that are my life!  They are my everything and I would go through hell and back for them.  So I sit and thank God daily for His blessing.  I think to myself that I have two very healthy little girls.  What if I did get pregnant again and I wasn't so lucky.  What if my next child has a severe deformity.  Or is mentally handicapped.  Or worse, born still?  Those moments are when I think to myself, I need to be done.  I don't need to test the waters.

Back to the whole reason I started this rant.  I went to the doctor and because of my stage four endometriosis, heavy periods, horrible mood swings and painful cramps and sex, she has recommended a hysterectomy.  This is where it gets tough.  I want another baby, but I don't.  I am not an infant stage person.  Not my favorite time of my children's life.  Not going to lie.  I hated it.  It was a nightmare.  On top of it I had the worst case of post pardum depression.  That may be why it was so horrible.  Or the fact that my stinking c-section scar opened back up and now I have a scar tissue deformed mess down there.  Or maybe the fact that I didn't have much help from family and friends.  That kind of sucked too.  See, I went off again......

So, I have an appointment for June 5th with my OB.  I am going to discuss the hysterectomy with her.  My husband is done.  He doesn't want to be in his 60's when our kids graduate from high school.  I can totally see why.  I see his point of view.  BUT, he also says, if it happens naturally, then he would be thrilled.  Makes no flipping sense to me whatsoever!  So, there is a possibility by the miracle of God that my little egg could bust through the blocked tube or maybe even come out of the one that is STUCK TO MY UTERUS and miraculously be sucked into the tube that is not blocked and maybe by some miracle the old man's sperm will cooperate and swim in the right direction instead of screaming like little pansies and swimming away from the goods.  Yeah, I'm being sarcastic.  There is NO WAY we are getting pregnant naturally.  Hence, why the old man said that.  Grrrr....

Not to mention, I get absolutely no help in my home.  I take care of my girls pretty much by myself.  The only thing the old man is good for is being their couch to sit on.  Do I really want to have another baby and add the stress to my already growing stress level.  I really don't think it's a good idea.  Oh, don't forget the extra daycare, extra room that we don't have and the extra room in the car that we don't have.  So personally, I think yanking the baby making machine may be the ticket.  I'll know more on June 5th and will report as soon as I come to a decision.  I hate making decisions that will ultimately mean a final chapter in my life.  What would you guys do in a situation like this?  Are you even still reading?  LOL

OK, vent/rant over....  That felt good!

Have a blessed day ya'll!!!

NO NO NO!!!!

The new word coming from my Sammi.  Yeah, mama isn't happy about this one but every kid says it.  It's just my job to make sure to teach them the right term.  "No thank you!"  We're coming around but for some reason, she likes the word "NO!"  Better.  Little stinker!

Mia's new word is "Mommy"  She has been calling me "Mama"  since she could first talk.  I love "Mommy" so much but now she is saying it ALL.THE.TIME!  I heard that word probably 200 times yesterday.  At first it was so cute and then I started to be like, OK, enough!  LOL

I keep thinking to myself though that they will be grown before I know it and I will miss these days.  Just love my little bumpkins.

Habe a blessed day!

A glimpse into my life

I read a few posts of how people are sharing a glimpse of their life and what they do on a day to day basis.  I thought, "how fun!"  Why not do that too!  As all of you know (well, maybe most of you), I have twins girls who are almost two and a half years old.  I also work three days a week so life for me is a bit, how do I say this?  Nuts!  I'm stressed more than I am happy these days.  Hey, I'm being honest!  That's what this blog is all about right?  Life does get easier the older the girls get.  And please don't get me wrong, I LOVE MY LIFE!  I adore my daughters and wouldn't change anything!  I'm just stressed.  STRESSED!  Let me show you what my days look like.  Maybe you will understand where I'm coming from......

Work Days
  • Wake at 6:15 a.m.
  • Get ready for work
  • Arrive to work at 7:30 a.m.
  • Work from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Leave work and drive the 45 minutes home
  • Arrive home around 4:15 p.m.
  • Attempt to clean the mess the girls made through out the day. (It's a HUGE mess)
  • Sit with the girls for about an hour to get snuggle time/down time for mommy
  • Around 6:00 p.m. I start to make dinner.  Right around this time the girls get really clingy and want me to hold them while I have my hands full with cooking.  And it isn't just one, it's both girls!  I usually pull a chair up for them to help and that may last for a few minutes but then they are back to fighting/whining/crying.
  • Around 6:15/6:30 p.m. the old man gets home.  He usually goes upstairs, changes out of his suit, goes to the bathroom and then heads down the stairs leisurely, and I mean slow.  Usually I have dinner done around this time or if I am so exhausted, we'll order out but it is me who usually goes and gets the food.
  • We will then eat and the old man will take the girls downstairs while I try to clean up after dinner.  Usually at this time I have Mia screaming for me because she doesn't like me to be out of her sight.  lol  So the dishes usually will sit in the dishwasher until the next day.
  • Between 7:30 p.m/8:30 p.m. we watch some Caillou, Yo Gabba Gabba or Mickey Mouse Clubhouse to get the girls to settle down before bed.
  • Around 8:30 p.m. we take the girls upstairs to get them in their jammies.  I am the one that gets them in their pajamas and I am also the one that changes their diapers.  The old mans job is to get their water and then he gets to snuggle them for a few minutes while rocking them in the rocking chair.  (This whole time I am fuming because it should be the other way around or at least every other night but it isn't)  Just sayin.....
  • The girls will lay in their crib for about a half an hour and talk, then silence.  During this time I am getting ready for bed.  I usually get to crawl into bed around 9:30 p.m. Asleep between 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.  It all depends on when my mind stops racing
Days Off

  • Clean house
  • change diapers
  • Nap time!
  • Clean
  • Feed
  • Feed
  • Feed
  • Old man gets home
  • Feed
  • Maybe clean
  • Time for bed!
  • Get into bed around 9 p.m..... etc....
Yeah, life is crazy for sure.  But I love it!  Now you can see what it's like to live in the shoes of Mrs. Murphy.  :)

Have a blessed day!
