Wow, time sure does fly by when you're having, errr, umm, fun! lol Most days are fun but let me tell you, being a mommy to twins is hard work! Especially now! My wee ones are starting to get little personalities that just explode! And I mean, EXPLODE!!! They have some pretty gnarly temper tantrums. Lord Almighty! Let me see, where do I start?
I am starting to plan the girls second birthday! SECOND birthday. That is nuts! I really feel like I just had them. It's hard to believe that they are growing so fast. They are pretty much climbing everything and running too! Walking is a thing of the past. They are past the sea legs part and on to full blown running. It is the cutest thing thought to see them running around in their little diapers. Just love it. They are starting to talk. Samantha says more words than Mia. Mia, however can hum any song and Samantha can't so they are two totally different toddlers. I love that about them.
Samantha is very articulate. She will sit for a long period of time and color pictures. She can count to five and knows what a circle, triangle and square is! She knows a few colors too. She is one smart cookie for sure! She doesn't like to be snuggled at all. She doesn't give hugs and kisses and will play some serious hard to get. If you do happen to get a hug from her, you must cherish it because it will be a long time before you get another. lol She is very bubbly. She makes the funniest faces and is the biggest ham! She makes us laugh constantly. Our favorite thing to do with her is play, "Where is Sammi???" She will hide behind a chair and pop out with the biggest surprised look on her face. Steve and us just crack up! Love that child!
Mia is the polar opposite. She is my snuggle bunny. She wants her mommy all the time and I love that! She loves to give hugs and kisses and she even puckers her lips when you ask for a kiss. It is the sweetest thing ever! One thing about Mia, she can throw a mean temper tantrum. If she is told no, oh man, the end of the world has arrived. She will throw herself to the floor and cry her little eyes out. It breaks my heart. I do notice that she will fake it sometimes to get me to pick her up. Little stinker. Sometimes I give in but most of the time I have to walk away. She will stop crying when I do, stand up, find me and then throw herself on the ground in front of me again. lol Yeah, I'm laughing now. Some of those days, I want to cry. I'm not going to lie. I get frustrated sometimes but I will sit down and remember the moments where I thought I would never have children and just say to myself, "Kami, you could be childless." That snaps me out of it most of the times. Anyway, back to Mia. She is the sweetest child. She repeats words but she doesn't say many. She will sing along to Yo Gabba Gabba (Favorite show) and say every third to fourth word. She talks a lot of gibberish and it cracks me up. She will carry on a conversation and I have no clue what she is saying. I just nod and agree. lol Love that girl.
Steve and I are doing well. I cleaned the house today and put up both trees. I am waiting for the older girls to come home from the movies with dad so we can decorate the family tree. I decorated my tree. It's little and so cute! I wish they'd get home already. I'm getting tired!
I'm working for a reproductive endocrinologist. Actually, several of them. I love my job. I know what these women are going through and I can give them a pep talk when they start feeling down. They feel comfortable talking to me and that makes me happy. I love seeing all the BFP's and I do get extremely sad when I see the BFN's. I'm the one that takes the blood and processes it to get it to the doctors so they can call the patient to tell them to either up their dose of meds or not. I really do love this job. I feel blessed to have it. Not to mention, I get home by four o' clock in the afternoon every day to see my wee ones. Love it!
I am dying to have another child. It hurts sometimes. I know there is no talking Steve into one more. He is so done with four kids and I don't blame him. I count my blessings with the two I have and I will be just fine being the mommy to only them. I do secretly wish that I could be lucky to conceive naturally. I just leave it up to God. If it is meant to be, it will be. It's hard knowing that I have everything at my fingertips and it could possibly be free to but there is nothing I can do about it because hubby says no. Oh well..... that's life. It's a great life so I'm not going to complain anymore.
I hope everyone is doing well! I've asked for my own laptop for Christmas so I am hoping Steve gets me one so I can get back to blogging. It's hard getting him off the computer when we settle in at night. I do most of my Facebooking and emailing from my phone. Blogging would be difficult. Crossing fingers for a new notebook or laptop.
Thanks be to God!
