Vacation Pictures..... Day 1!

So, I think it is about time to post pictures of our trip!!! We took over 2000 pictures so I can only post a few.......

We started the trip at my mom's house. All of my family came up from Kentucky for a family reunion. It was really nice to see everyone.

Once we got in the car to leave for the actual trip, we gave the girls a box that their daddy made. It was called an e-box. What we did was every night we would write a note to each other, encouraging one another and put the notes in the e-box. Every morning we would read a verse from the bible giving clues to the girls about what we were going to do that day. Hubby and I made it a mystery trip. The girls had no clue what they were doing or where they were going. It was fun.

So, here is the girls with their boxes. We just gave it to them.....

We drove five and a half hours to Lexington Kentucky. We decided to stop there for the first night to rest our eyes. Hubby went to college there too so of course he wanted to show is girls where he lived a long period of time.

Here we are trying out the beds...... I wanted to go to sleep by this point but we had other plans for the girls....

So we set off, we told the girls that we were waiting for a taxi....... So we wait......


And this is what showed up!!!!! We fooled the girls...... They loved the surprise!

We walked by the fountains in the park and then we were off to bed! Pretty good for a first day! Daddy had three tired girls on his hands and it was getting pretty late....... Good night!
